TARA’S MEMORIALS

Tara Arnold Memorial Scholarship Fund
After Tara’s death family and friends set up a scholarship in her name as an ongoing living memorial.
This scholarship provides support to traditional or nontraditional Williams County Ohio students entering a college or university with the intent of pursuing a degree in a law enforcement related field.

Colts’ “Walk of Fame" Memorial Brick
Tara is a huge Indianapolis Colts fan. Every Christmas and birthday Tara would receive Colts gift. Key chains, NFL semi truck, calendars anything with the Colts on it.
A paver brick was bought in Tara’s name for the New Indianapolis Colts Lucas Oil Stadium in downtown Indianapolis. The Walk of Fame is located at the corner of Capitol and South Streets.  Tara's brick is located in the "First Down" section, row F.

A BIG THANK YOU to the Colts franchise staff. They allowed us a private tour of the Colts stadium and took our picture, while holding Tara’s picture, in the same spot that Tara had her picture taken when she attended the Colts game. They took us out to the Colts helmet logo on the fifty yard line. We know Tara would be smiling down from heaven knowing she made it onto the 50 yard line. They even allowed us to take a small part of the field home. That meant so much to us thank you, thank you, thank you.
As a side note with Tara cheering the Colts on from heaven they won the superbowl on February 4, 2007.

Money was donated to Rainforest 2 Reefs in Tara’s name for one hectare of rainforest. Rainforest2Reef is a non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation of the biological corridor stretching from the rainforest of the Calakmul Biosphere Reserve to the Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve to the Mesoamerican Reef.
Rainforest2Reef’s mission is to protect biodiversity, maintain ecosystem services, and slow climate change by safeguarding tropical forests, coral reefs and the corridors connecting these threatened habitats. We do this by working in partnership with local communities to protect ecologically important lands through innovative mechanisms, using sound scientific research to manage and monitor protected areas, and developing non-extractive economic activities that improve livelihoods of local people. Save the Manatee Club
Tara loved to swim and was able to swim with the Manatee’s. We donated money to Save the Manatee’s in Tara’s memory.
Save the Manatee Club was established in 1981 by former Florida Governor and U.S. Senator Bob Graham and singer/songwriter Jimmy Buffett. The Club was started so the public could participate in conservation efforts to save endangered manatees from extinction. It’s mission is to protect manatees and their aquatic habitats for future generations.
Save the Manatee Club is a membership-based, national nonprofit organization. Funds from our Adopt-A-Manatee program go toward public awareness and education projects; manatee research; rescue and rehabilitation efforts; and advocacy and legal action in order to ensure better protection for manatees and their habitat.
